From September to May, children in Pre–K to 1st Grade and 2nd Grade – 5th Grade meet for Sunday School at 9:15 AM in the Green Room. Classes explore the stories of our faith tradition and the faith-based actions/practices of our faith in multi-sensory, stimulating ways. Classes begin Sunday School with praises to God through music, followed by age-appropriate lessons for Bible learning. Each week, children will relate with Bible characters, see themselves in the Bible story, and apply faith-based actions to their own lives as they learn about the stories of our faith, from Creation to the Gospels and beyond!
Children are always welcome in our worship services! A special Children’s Worship is also provided during the 10:30 AM service each week (following the Time with Our Children). Kids of all ages are invited to worship God with a time of singing, snacking, and creating that is designed especially for them. Older kids are encouraged to join in as helpers.
When you see the children leaving the sanctuary after the Time with our Children, they are headed to Children’s Worship. The children, helpers, and leader gather in the Green Room for a special time of worship and of learning with stories, songs, and more!
Vacation Bible School is a joy and a privilege to host each year at Covenant. Led by staff with help from adult and youth volunteers, we meet for one week in June and dive into a Biblical theme or story through music, crafts, recreation, science, and storytelling.
In August, we host a Creativity Camp before school begins. This longer day camp (9am-2pm, Monday-Wednesday) is meant for elementary and middle school students to let their creativity run wild! With a large outdoor component, kids are encouraged to build and paint cardboard creations, grind homemade chalk paint, and much more!
