Operations Ministry

Under the major heading of Operational Support, these teams coordinate the church’s day-to-day operations related to church communications, financial management, annual & regular financial giving, church leadership procurement & development, personnel & policy, and buildings & grounds.

From everyone who has been given much,

much will be demanded;

and from the one who has been entrusted with much,

much more will be asked.”

Luke 12:48

These words from Jesus remind us that we are to use wisely the resources entrusted to us individually, and, by extension, to us as a congregation.

Under the Auspices of the Operations Team

Communications Team

Coordinates Covenant’s communications ministry through electronic means/online media including Covenant’s website, social media, & email.

Finance Team

Coordinates Covenant’s finance ministry by developing/monitoring the church’s annual budget & overseeing the accounting of other monies given in service to the church’s mission.

Generosity Team

Coordinates Covenant’s ministry of generosity by promoting a culture of giving that includes the annual stewardship campaign & encourages living generously as Christ’s disciples.

Nominating Committee

Coordinates development of church leadership by soliciting from the congregation names of confirmed members to serve by congregational vote as officers & other leaders in the church.

Personnel & Policy

Coordinates search committee efforts and maintains policy guidelines for staff.

Property Teams

Coordinates the property ministry by ensuring the church’s buildings, grounds, & other real property are well-maintained.
